"Emma" was due for a few maintenance in certain area's before we made the trip down south to compete at H Nationals but more importantly Lakeside 300 the following week.

New Front RPC Rotors and Hawk DTC60 brake were fitted since the old rotors had alot of heat cracks. We had done 1x Wakefield 300, 2x MRA rounds, 4x club trackdays.

Next thing on the list was the gearbox. For our fans that follow the car, we ran out of gears a Phillip Island, so we want to put 6th gear back in. The OEM CL9 shifter box and cables were getting old and stretched, so we wanted to change that set-up as well.

We have great success with the FN2R gearbox casing in the Time Attack DC2R, so we decided to stick that in "Emma" and revised her gear ratio while we did this changeover. We've been mucking around with mixed OEM gear ratio in "Emma" for the pass few years now and have now nailed down a good set of ratio to work with her powerband, tyre size and fuel economy. To make the FN2R gearbox casing work, a change of hasport gearbox bracket and shifter cables and box were required

It was also a good chance to check out the clutch condition since the gearbox is off. The OEM clutch used had about 20% left and the clutchplate springs were quite loose. Keeping to her budget theme, we picked up another OEM Clutch in the back room (used but in great condition) and fitted that for another year of abuse

We reverted her back on E85 for that extra few hp and did a quick dyno check before we loaded her up for the trip to Winton

"Emma" didnt miss a beat all event and it was good to drive Winton Raceway with the resurface. With Jimmy driving the car, he got "Emma" down to a new PB of 1:31.8 (Natsoft) on Advan 050's. She struggled a with turning right and under-steered quite badly, but it was enough to take home with the Fastest Naturally Aspirated a H Natioanls 2016

We now have a few days to look over here and get "Emma" ready for the inaugural Lakeside 300 the following week
