That's right, its mixed drink time again & this time Johnny our BrewTube Mix Master in residence is back. In this episode he prepares for us a twist on the traditional Margarita. This twist comes in the form of an Italian Margarita. The italian margarita is the tart and nutty cousin of the traditional Margarita and it faces a unique tart, sweet & sour kick. Try paring this one with a really sweet desert. You won't be disapointed. Enjoy!!! Recipe follows:

Italian Margarita Recipe
Equipment

1) Shaker
2) Shot Glass
3) Margarita Glass

Ingredients:

1) Ice
2) 2 oz of Reposado 100% Agave Tequila
3) 1 oz of Amaretto / Almond Liqueur
4) 0.5 oz of Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

*Option -- For a sweeter / less tart drink you can use 0.5 oz of Rose's Lime Juice to replace the fresh lime juice.


✭EXTRA INFO:

✭ SWEET & SOUR MIX HOW TO ✭

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
Procedures

PREPARATION:

1) Make simple syrup by bringing the sugar and water to a boil, about 7 minutes. Stir to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and let cool.

2) While the syrup is cooling, strain freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice into a resealable bottle, discarding the pulp. Pour in the cooled simple syrup. Shake and use immediately or refrigerate.
