This video addresses the procedure to replace the DOT3 brake fluid in a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox LT. I used approximately 36 ounces of fluid in this change.

When the work is complete, release the parking brake by turning the vehicle on, pressing the brake pedal, and then depress the parking brake switch. Pump the brake pedal and confirm it becomes firm and indicates pressure is present. Go for a test drive to confirm the brakes are in working order.

If you use a turkey baster to remove the brake fluid, you'll need to use it with a hose like I have in this video. This is due to several internally raised ledges within the Brakes master Cylinder fluid reservoir that prevents large objects from being inserted. These ledges can be seen in my video's overhead view of the reservoir.

All steps can be performed using standard hand tools.

I have included Amazon Affiliate links below to make it easier to search and purchase some of the tools needed to complete the service.
