Planet Giza live at the Drake Underground

‪@PlanetGiza‬’s eclectic brand of jazz-rap was on full display during a tight-knit show at Toronto’s Drake Underground. The Montreal group’s MC, Tony Stone, showcased an understated confidence while switching between singing and rapping, his flow effortlessly coasting across songs including “WYD” and “Hands On.” The crowd twisted and grooved to producer Rami B’s beats while Stone encouraged everyone to dance along. “You Wasn’t Lyin’,” “Attention,” and the group’s other older songs instantly elicited head bobs and cheers. Toward the end of the show, a surprise appearance from Toronto rapper Lan’do during “Do Dat Dere” got the audience jumping in unison. “I saw y’all singing along and that means a lot to me, that warms my heart,” Stone said between songs.
