Chapter 49: Leto and Muriz... at Shuloch.
Leto arrives at Shuloch where he meets a Fremen called Muriz. Muriz is the father of Assah Tariq, the Preacher's guide. He is also a smuggler, a judge and as Leto discerns, a member of the Cast Out. This is the thread within which is contained the Golden Path, and it seems that it had to lead Leto to Muriz here at Shuloch, in order for the young Atreides to meet his father, Paul Muad'Dib. A deadly chapter full of intrigue and myth and a story within the story.
