"Enchanted Lands" Pt. 1: Slavic Mythology, Folklore, and Fairy Tales

I have created a visual storybook about the history of Slavic mythology, folklore, and fairytales using an upcycled vintage Better Homes and Gardens Sewing ring-binder. The chapter dividers became my canvases for the story, and materials like old book pages, tea bags, fabric remnants, paper scraps and fussy cut ephemera from The Graphics Fairy worked as my art elements.

This was a commissioned work for my friend Catherine Stenhjem who is an artist, a painter, and I incorporated several paintings of hers into my collages. Thank you so much, Catherine, for giving me this creative opportunity to collaborate with you. I have so enjoyed working with your art!
