Oooh this is such a nasty, nasty quest. I finally managed to beat it after many tries with different comps and strategies, a little late to upload but better late than never! I've tried the double Ultimecia BT turn deletion strategy with the Leviathan summon but I was always caught out once the framed turns came up. I also tried the Vincent ATK down debuff strategy but I always ran out of turns. This comp with Onion Knight, Kefka and Ulti worked for me in the end with a pretty high turn rate compared to others at 67/80.

I made sure that OK had his blizzard enchant on the party as much as possible to boost damage, because the medusas start with the yellow aura which is magic vulnerable but have high defense. The red aura that comes later is physical weak with high speed, which is also a problem if I didn't have the ice enchant up on my mostly magic dps team.

I didn't bring any support units to heal or brv battery the team aside from the Hope and Gau calls, instead I prevented receiving as many hp attacks as possible by way of Kefka's debuffs. The brv gain and brv damage reduction in this lufenia was no joke, I brought the Odin summon to lower defense but I was screwed for brv gain. And whenever the medusas' eyes were lit up they further reduced brv gain, like come on! Without the ice enchant and brv gains my team did bugger-all damage...

Once one of the medusas get below 70% health they both give themselves a huge brv shield which takes a lot of turns and skills/EX's to break. But they must have their shields removed before their next turn otherwise they cleanse all their debuffs and can one-shot a party member. If I had Exdeath in here I could've cleared those shields in one go.

I used Ulti's BT pretty late at around the 60ish% hp mark to delete some turns before the medusas cleansed all their debuffs when their orbs appeared at 49%. This gave me a chance to prepare for the orbs, ice enchanting and re-debuffing them. Once that was all done I finally used the 3-turn OK friend support for his LD to give us more free skills. At 29% health the medusas put up their brv shields again, so it was just a matter of breaking them down. From here it was a race to the end!

I'm so happy I didn't have to deal with the medusas' recast ability for the whole fight (thanks to Kefka), and their framed turns that cannot be delayed even by breaking was never an issue either - I had turn manipulation going for me with Onion Knight's LD and Ultimecia's free turns. And once they took their turns (they couldn't act anyway coz of the HP attack disable) their framed turns went back to normal again.

If I didn't have Ulti in here I would not have made the turn requirement! I'm so glad I ditched all the other strategies that are floating around on YouTube, they were all amazing and inspiring to watch but I could not for the life of me get it to work out. I hadn't personally seen a run with this comp but I'm sure there are some out there.
