Growth of Representative Government - Video Lesson

Описание к видео Growth of Representative Government - Video Lesson

Here in America, we have a great tradition of representative government. We owe a lot of that to the early governments created during the Colonial Era. There were a few reasons, however, that each colony had in common that led them to create their own representative/self government.

Distance. Rights of Englishmen. Social Contract. Salutary Neglect.

ALL of these played a role in the 13 Colonies developing a tradition of representative government that would spill over into the American Revolution and eventually the founding of America itself.

All that to say, watch this video to understand everything you need to know about why the colonies wanted (and needed) representative governments. Enjoy!
