Rod Stewart's son pleaded not guilty Tuesday to felony charges stemming from an attack on a couple outside a party in the Hollywood Hills. (July 3)

Sean Stewart, son of pop star Rod Stewart, says he's not guilty of assault.
The 26-year-old Stewart entered the not-guilty plea in a Los Angeles court Tuesday, where he faced four felony charges stemming from an attack on a couple last April.
The charges include two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and a count of vandalism.

The couple said they were in a truck last April in the Hollywood Hills area when Stewart and others attacked them, at one point allegedly throwing bricks and other items.
The judge ordered Stewart to stay away from the couple and set another hearing date in August on the case.
Stewart's lawyer has said the incident was much different than what has been alleged, and suggested a lawsuit filed by the couple against Stewart was financially motivated.
The young Stewart is one of the stars of the A&E realty show "Sons of Hollywood". He remains free on sixty-thousand dollars bail.
