Tania Heap talks about how affordability and accessibility are keeping virtual reality in the technology niche category, but bringing VR into the classroom could help make the tech mainstream. Dr. Tania Heap is the director of learning research and accessibility in the Center for Learning Experimentation, Application, and Research (CLEAR), Division of Digital Strategy and Innovation (DSI), and adjunct faculty in psychology at UNT. She has been involved in online and technology-enhanced learning initiatives in different capacities for over 15 years. Her background and interests are in practice-based research in educational technology, digital accessibility and universal design for learning, and scholarship of teaching and learning.
