The Brazilian Golden Boot Winner You've Never Heard Of...

In 2004, Aílton Gonçalves da Silva went on a remarkable run while at Bundesliga side Werder Bremen. The Brazilian striker scored 28 league goals, helped Bremen win both the Bundesliga title and DFB Pokal and became the first foreigner ever to win the Bundesliga footballer of the year. This historic run was inspired by one of the more unique and somehow forgotten characters of the footballing world.
