The 2023 Malmstrom Lecture was held on October 26 with guest lecturer John Martinis PhD, professor of physics at University of California, Santa Barbara.

In his lecture, Martinis will explain the basic concepts behind the exponential power of this technology and how to build a quantum computer using superconductors. Additionally, he will show experimental data on a “quantum supremacy” experiment with 53 qubits using the Sycamore processor.
