The compressor did not work after the battery replacement. However, I mistakenly left the compressor switch on. The following morning while eating breakfast the compressor suddenly went on scaring the crap out of me. My only explanation is that the compressor has 3 ceramic disc capacitors on it (orange color, at 13:45 of video). I'm assuming they need to charge for a while before having enough current to start the compressor motor. So don't be surprised if the compressor doesn't work at first.
