The Grand Carousel at Knoebels! Brass Ring Carousel

Continuing our video series from Knoebels opening week, this video is all about their legendary Grand Carousel. This carousel is one of the few remaining brass ring carousels in the world. If you have a horse on the outside of the carousel, you're able to lean off the side and try to grab metal rings from an arm that comes out towards the carousel. No seatbelts or restraints here, just classic fun. Knoebels Grand Carousel is over 100 years old. According to Amusement Today "..the Grand Carousel was originally assembled in 1912-1913 in North Beach, Long Island by George Kremer, a German immigrant". This carousel has won the Golden Ticket award for 'best carousel' every year the honor has been awarded. The category was retired in 2019 marking the Grand Carousel as Legend Status and the best carousel in the world. We 100% agree with this statement, so much that we rode 5 times on our most recent visit.
