Is your camera not using the full capacity of your card? Does your camera refuse to write files to your SD card? Are you unable to retrieve files from your card?

These are all issues that my girlfriend has had with her Sony Handy cam ( I have had some of these with my GoPro ) and they can all be taken care of by formatting the card.

This camera seems to need the card formatted much more regularly than any other device I have used. I'm not sure why that is, but I do know that formatting the card makes it work properly every time.

I don't normally do videos about electronics. I just thought this may be helpful to someone. I'm sure my girlfriend will have to watch it some day :)
