I bit the bullet and started to learn an Electronics Design Application (EDA) in order to make coil building easier. To the open source family at KiCad, thank you for such a great project.

In this video I demonstrate a joule thief circuit using a large PCB bifilar Tesla pancake coil. I also pair a second one to it in order to wirelessly light a secondary chip-on-board (COB) LED light.

It took awhile to learn the language of the software and the initial cost to have it built at PCBWay wasn't expensive, but it wasn't cheap. If you think you might be interested in buying a coil, let me know in the comments. I only offer this because it would have been so much more convenient for me if someone had done this already.
