We are back this week with some more Star Trek: The Original Series! Today, we are watching THE ALTERNATIVE FACTOR. This was a really cool episode as it laid the ground work for Star Trek Discovery. I really enjoyed this episode and how they dealt with the character of Lazarus. I can't wait to hear what you guys have to say about it.

Before I go, I want to mention another thing I loved about this episode. I loved seeing the Black female lieutenant and her natural afro. As a woman of colour, this made my heart sing. This episode made me feel seen and represented.

The iconic series STAR TREK follows the crew of the starship USS ENTERPRISE as it completes its missions in space in the 23rd century. Captain James T. Kirk - along with half human/half-Vulcan science officer Spock, ship Dr. "Bones" McCoy, Ensign Pavel Chekov, communications officer Lt. Nyota Uhura, helmsman Lt. Hikaru Sulu and chief engineer Lt.
