Belgium is the 35th country we have visited, But Belgium has so many major cities worth visiting, so we spent longer in Belgium than we normally would spend in a country, because we wanted to visit Ghent and Bruges. Now because we lost some time because of our luggage, we only had ONE DAY to do both Bruges and Ghent.

This video shows you that it is possible to do both Bruges and Ghent in the same day, same 24 hour period and not feel rushed or spend a lot of money.

Overall I think I liked Ghent the best, it was the perfect hybrid between Brussels and Bruges. Ghent is built up but also historic. I found Brussels a bit lack lustre, no different from any other Belgium city. Bruges was great but I feel like you would run out of things to do over a weekend, unless it was Christmas time!

HOWEVER, Ghent had the worst waffle game of all the Belgium Cities and the best one we had was in Brussels, Bruges was average for their waffle game. So if you want all the waffles, none of the history Brussels is the way to go. But Ghent is by care the most beautiful city in Belgium!
