BMW DIAGNOSIS/ IBS FAULTS INFORMATION

My BMW was not showing my current oil level status so i investigated the situation and it all pointed to the IBS system stored faults. ⚠️IBS MUST BE REPLACED AT BMW DEALERSHIP because of SOFTWARE UPDATES/ voltage communications between DME and IBS / BSD bus systems / BATTERY state of charge/ state of health.

Work notes:
Sometimes talking to some not all service advisors about stuff like this is like pulling teeth because they have no idea what your talking about. I was lucky to have my latest experience with a service advisor who really wanted as much info to help mitigate time. Thats why its best to learn as much as you can so when they print a repair order the tech can get right to the point. Trouble shooting can take hours. As the consumer, it can cost us big bucks when we have no idea whats really going on.
