Agnipath Entry Scheme 2022 | Benefits of Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pande

The Central Government has approved the Agnipath scheme for the recruitment of youth in the Armed Forces. According to the government, the youth selected under this scheme will be called Agniveer. Agniveers will be given attractive monthly packages and risk and hardship allowance as applicable across the three services. On completion of his tenure, he will be given a lump sum retirement package. Under this, patriotic and enthusiastic youth will be appointed in the military forces for four years. This year 46 thousand Agniveers will be recruited. Let us inform that thirty to forty thousand rupees will be given monthly salary and allowances to Agniveers. The retirement will be exempt from income tax. Agniveer will not be eligible for gratuity and other benefits of pension. They will be provided with a life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh, for which they will not have to pay anything. Agniveers will be given the necessary training for various military skills, physical fitness, and qualities of gallantry, patriotism and leadership. For this registration has to be done through online centralized system. The age limit for this has been kept from 17.5 years to 21 years. The educational qualification for General Duty Soldier has been fixed as 10th class. To start a new era in the human resource policy of the three services, the government has made this major defense policy reform. It is expected that this scheme will provide an opportunity to the talented youth of the country to serve in the Air Force.
