How to Crochet a Fisherman's Hat - short beanie - watchmans cap - Corduroykidd

Описание к видео How to Crochet a Fisherman's Hat - short beanie - watchmans cap - Corduroykidd

The knit version of this hat is my most popular video on my channel and I was super surprised that it did so well. I've been getting requests to make a crochet version of that hat so that's what I've done. I think it's a lot more straight forward for beginners because there are no increases or decreases. Also the sizing is very customisable.

I feel like this is the hat that all bad guys wear in old cartoons? Why is that? Also I guess it can be contributed as a sailor, fisherman's thing?(duh, fisherman hat, so smart, Ryan)

Pattern
ch 46 or desired length with a 3.5mm crochet hook and a light worsted weight yarn.
sc 10, hdc 5, dc 30
*dc 30, hdc 5, sc 5, slp stitch 5*(all in the front loops of the stitch) *repeat this row for the whole of the hat

My hat was about 8 inches long in total and I made it about 22 inches around. Wider than I would for a knit hat because crochet stretches less. I used around 250 meters of yarn, about one full skein.

Here is the paid for polished version if you want it. You are not obligated, but if you want a nice version to reference here you go.

Hi, my name is Ryan and I'm a 20 year old artist from Seattle. I've been knitting and crocheting for the last fifteen years and I'm still learning all the time. I love creative and colourful things. There is no such thing as too much colour or too much fun.
