How to make a wall hanging candle sconce from scrap wood

I live in a rural area and a few weeks ago there was a power outage following a storm. Of course, I couldn't find my torch or candles and scrabbled around in the dark for some time.

So, being foxy, I thought, right, I need to sort this out - trotted off to my scrap wood pile and came up with this, its a little Olde' Worlde' and I love the way it came out. Handy and decorative!

Hope you enjoy the build, its quick and could easily be completed with hand tools in the event of a power-cut... but better to make one first, just in case!
