SKG'S DUB ALLIANCE is a project formed by three friends: Big Shine (voc), Digital Monk and Lorrd. Coming from different musical projects (Rodes United - Moriginal Beats- Kako Synapantima) but with their love for Bass culture as a common denominator, they composed a dynamic trio with a high-energetic stage presence. They have released their work on various labels (Breathe Records (GR), Reggaewise (GR), Gradient Audio (USA) Dubtribu Records (UK), Iron Shirt Records, Dubophonic (CY) etc.) and their first EP "The Alliance" has received very positive reviews in the local press.
Performing in Greece and sharing the stage with great names of the local scene and from abroad (Dub Pistols, High Tone, Mad Proffessor, Dub Fx, Radikal Guru, Amit, Zion Train, Grounding, Alborosie, Dub Inc , Asian Dub Foundation, etc.), they set up a unique show during their live sessions, with a lot of bass, scratching and vocals/toasting, grabbing the public's attention.
"Elephant Bass" is their debut album and it is released on the greek label "Reggaewise", almost one and a half year after "The Alliance" EP.
The LP was born out of the need of the crew for a more complete work, defining the way they perceive dub and stepper music. The album stands out from any previous releases, incorporating live drums combined with turntablism, percussion,live dub mix and with Big Shine delivering some powerful lyrical flow on the mic.
The 11 tracks of the LP stand true to SKG's Dub Allaince's motto of "delivering Bass Culture" to every corner of the planet.
Once the elephant, the true king of the jungle, sets himself loose, then there is no stopping. Every one of his steps is like an earthquake, shaking the ground with deep vibrations, while his cry cuts through the silence like the revolutionary cry of a warrior. When the elephant marches towards you, take cover ..... especially if you are a Babylonian!
