Day 1 – The Trek Day. (Walk through forest Cover)
Manali to Chika Via Jobra.

After having a solid breakfast we started to Nehru Statue Park at Mall Road and met Pankaj Bhai who was our trek lead, we got our instructions on do’s and don’ts on the trek then we had to fill out a Disclaimer form as a formality, we started to Jobra in a tempo after collecting our rental shoes and ponchos( Rain Coats) , you will get to see the beauty of Kullu Valley on the way to jobra.

The trek starts from Guhugal Hydel Project where the Photography is restricted it’s a 2.5 Km trek to Chika after traveling 500m you will find a Dhaba where you can have the lunch post that you will travel through a forest of Pine trees and head into a Lush Meadow strewn with small rocks all round, after 30 minutes you will find a small river crossing where you find horses crossing the river which is a great sight to watch then a 20 minutes walk towards Chika where you see a waterfall and a campsite covered with huge mountains, and in the evenings it is fully covered with clouds.

Day 2 – The Himachal’s Valley of Flowers
Chika to Balu ka Ghera.

As we were very excited about the second-day nature wanted to make our day even more exciting and challenging so it started raining but the experience of wearing ponchos was our first, we were experiencing a surreal feel of adventure as the terrain was slippery and nature was blessing us with a sight full of diverse flowers (rhododendron, many multi-colored flowers,red wildflowers) and a heavy flow of water through the stream of rani ka nalah , water was pouring down from the streams of rock due to the heavy rain.

crossing the heavily flowing stream where we had to hold the hands of our team members and cross the stream of chilled water barefoot, as soon as we stepped in the water it felt very refreshing as the freshwater touching our legs relaxed all the stress in our legs but the only demerit was it was so chilled and slippery that crossing the stream took a while so keeping your foot in the chilled water for such a long time was very challenging but it was completely worth. Then we come to a point where you can have your lunch for day 2 the place is fully covered with white colored flowers and the clouds passing by the mountains make your lunch halt a sight to view it.

Day 3- The Summit Day.

You can split this journey into two halves one reaching the summit and then reaching Shea goru the base camp, this is one of the toughest days to trek as the trek was 12 km. , you will
Reach an altitude of 14,100 ft. where it's slightly difficult to catch breath, you will be walking on a very thin edge having steep slopes on both sides while reaching the Summit.

You will have to cross paths with the sheep herds passing from the same route,it becomes very tougher eventually as you have a very inclined path to walk to reach the summit, this path tests your patience it keeps on asking you if you are worthy to see the humpta peak, indrasan peak and deo tibba peak, you will be covered with fog and clouds all around,your visible radius around you keeps on decreasing as you will not be able to view more than 5m radius as it is fully covered with fog and clouds Luckily we were clear in following the trek lead instructions and didn’t lose the path to the peak.

After reaching the peak we were really disappointed as the peak was covered with clouds and we could barely see the humpta peak, we all were praying for that to clear but it wasn’t, all other team batches started going back to the base camp,we still thought of waiting after two hours of waiting it was time to leave the peak as we all were having a severe headache, lack of enough oxygen supply to the body then we started walking down to the base camp, as soon as we started walking down nature had its own plans to play with us the whole clouds started passing by and it slowly started to clear, every one of us was filled with joy and stayed there for one more hour watching the beauty of the three amazing peaks from so near was a surreal experience.

Day 4- The Conclusion.
Shea Goru to Chhatru.
It is an easy trekking day as most part of the trek is descent, you will reach the Chhatru village where you sight an amazing Chenab Bridge located in the village and then you will have lunch at the campsite, post lunch you will take a ride to Chandra Tal lake with picturesque landscapes of the Spiti valley and after reaching the Chandra Tal gateway you will have to hike for about a km., to see the moon shaped lake named Chandratal, we were lucky enough to visit this as if the climate doesn’t support then you will not be able to reach this heavenly lake.
