As the attack on Orb continues, the Earth Force Fleet sends out the Jet Windams to face off against ZAFT. Shinn Asuka pilots the Destiny and wipes out most of the Jet Windams until one of them is saved by the timely arrival of Strike Freedom (Kira Yamato) who descended from the sky. Shinn battles Kira until he is forced to retreat to resupply. While Kira continues to wander off the area, Athrun heads out to pilot the Infinite Justice to give Kira a hand in battle while trying to stop Shinn's hatred towards Orb.
