Communities in the districts of Sironko and Butaleja affected by floods and landslides are crying out for help from the government. This after heavy rains, ravaged the Bugishu and Bukedi sub-regions, leaving three people dead and dozens of houses destroyed. Bridges were also washed away, roads submerged, and gardens destroyed. The Uganda National Roads Authority UNRA has advised road users in the affected areas to use alternative routes as the authority tries to fix the bridges.
