The connected vehicle ecosystem is growing fast, with vehicles entering the software-defined era. These new connectivity technologies have their own benefits as well as threats. The increase in the connectivity of a vehicle’s center control module has increased the vehicle’s vulnerability to cyberattacks. Security features must include the protection of confidential information and critical safety systems. Anticipating these #cyberattacks , #connected #vehicle manufacturers have been working to improve the security of their vehicle offerings and prevent hackers from getting access to embedded systems and vehicle data. Concerned automotive industry associations and regulatory bodies are also working on the development of standards, specifications, and guidelines for #vehicle #cybersecurity
