TPC VS HAY or "Three Primary Colors VS Half A Year" is the previous doujin fighter by Negesoft, the same group responsible for developing "Requiem", and similarly has many characters that were apparently originally based on rough concepts, original mangas, and novels of standard and adult/18+ origin. It's their first fighting game and is more simplistic than Requiem, but surprisingly appears to be more balanced. This can be partially attributed to the many "clone" characters who fight like well-structured characters from famous fighting games (Street Fighter, King of Fighters, etc., where Requiem uses more original characters and movesets), but even the more original characters possess decent movesets, though the game won't be winning any awards. The game is broken up into teams like KOF (TPC Team, Hay Team, TPC Male Team, Hay Male Team, etc.).

The game uses the same general (simple) graphics style as Requiem, though characters are generally smaller and possess less frames of animation (and are about as bland as they come), though there is oddly more effects from moves. There are no characters voices, only sound effects, with decent music. Just like Requiem, building special gauges can prove difficult and the game is also forced into matches of three, but the A.I. is different and matches go by much quicker until later rounds. Also, the game has more practical moves and decent combinations with no outrageously cheap specials (some are really strong, but require effort and proper timing to connect), and since there are less game mechanics like cancels that cost special gauges, the game can be considered more old school.

The game hasn't been worked on in a while and has quite a few planned characters which were never developed, which it's looking less likely that this game will ever reach true completion (as Requiem's development has far surpassed this game by now)... oh well.
