Suzuki V Strom SX 250 Features and Specs

Описание к видео Suzuki V Strom SX 250 Features and Specs

Suzuki launched the adventure tourer Suzuki V Strom SX 250 in the Indian Market in 2022. A bigger displacement V-Strom 650 XT already exists and I hoped that the 250 SX would be based on the same. However that’s not the case, it is much closer to the Naked Motorcycle, Gixxer 250 and build on the same platform.

Putting this video up now for people who want to buy a mix bag of city bike

Here are the details of the motorcycle

The design of V Strom SX is sleek and compact with octagonal shaped LED lights with three separate rows for high and low beam. Non adjustable windscreen, knuckle guards, split seat design, grab rail which can hold up to 6kgs and the limited fairing around the tank gives it a sports adventure tourer look.

The riding position of the adventure tourer is very comfortable, upright, handle bars are towards the rider and even the foot pegs are placed appropriately for a rider to be able to stand comfortably during off roading. The seat height is 835mm, the ground clearance is 205mm, under cowl cover protects the engine, front and rear alloy wheels are 19-inch and 17-inch with disc brakes at both the ends, front forks provide a generous 120 mm of suspension stroke and swingarm with 7-step adjustable preload at the rear to absorb bumps and keep the ride smooth. Over all a great package for Indian Roads.

The main attraction is the 250cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gear box that churns out a maximum power of 26.5ps @9300rpm and maximum torque of 22.2Nm @7300rpm. The engine feels very smooth and refined when riding hard and fast, calm and composed after 80 kmph, at low speeds its a little stiff but higher you go smoother it gets. The motorcycle shines the most over 90kmph but when faster than that, you start to feel the vibrations on the foot pegs. The handling is nimble and just 167 kg of Kerb weight makes it simple to manoeuvre through the city.

For convenience you get switch on-off button, USB outlet and the V Strom SX is a connected motorcycle so you can pair it with your phone and see turn by turn navigation.

The V Strom is a definite winner on the tarmac, across twisty roads and city traffic. Although it looks like an adventure tourer and that is how Suzuki has also positioned the motorcycle. But I don’t agree with Suzuki here. V Strom SX 250 can not perform off the tarmac as much as I would expect from a V Strom badging, neither can it deliver any adventure on the trails and that’s mostly because the suspension is stiff. Getting some traction from the engine at low speeds and revs is also a hassle.

The quality and reliability is indeed Suzuki, I absolutely love the fit and finish of the motorcycles. It does speak out loud, the higher standards of a Japanese make.

The graphics and the bold bright colours such as orange and yellow gives the V Strom a radical look.

The Bike has great road presence, you will love it in the hills, on the highways it proves to be a very comfortable companion and in cities its very easy to manoeuvre through traffic. It is everything else but an Adventure Tourer. It is a comfortable tourer.

Price: ₹ 2.12 Lakh (ex-showroom)
