Lloyd v British Police fitness test (treadmill / running challenge - Police selection / annual test)

Описание к видео Lloyd v British Police fitness test (treadmill / running challenge - Police selection / annual test)

Watch me take on a version of the British Police force's annual fitness / selection test. The one I took on was completed on the treadmill (CTPRT); is 10-minutes long; is run at a continual 10.4km/hr; the incline increases every 2 minutes by 2 degrees. But did I complete it??

(The CTPRT treadmill protocol is...conducted at a greater speed (10.4km/hr) to reflect the higher aerobic demand.)

The usual test is a Bleep one which requires the candidate to get to level 5.4 - which takes around 3min 40sec.
To give some background - in the 90's the test was a 1.5 mile run which had to be completed in 12-minutes; and there were also press-up and sit-up tests. Systematically these tests have been made easier/reduced until where we are now - a short run, but with NO upper-body tests.

Should the standards be increased again? Try out the challenge yourself to decide.

As usual - give me a FOLLOW and leave me a like and comments.
