WLVI Channel 56 - Get Smart (Commercial Breaks, 1975)

Описание к видео WLVI Channel 56 - Get Smart (Commercial Breaks, 1975)

Here's a neat rarity! The commercial breaks from a 1975 airing of Get Smart on WLVI Channel 56 in Cambridge/Boston, MA - which was a sister station to Chicago's own WFLD Channel 32. (and one of the Kaiser Broadcasting / Field Communications stations) (I wish this recording was from WFLD, but it's still cool to see and we're glad to present it to all our FuzzyFriends in the Boston area!) And what great kids commercials!

The episode shown on this day and time was "Dear Diary" (S01E21, originally broadcast on the NBC Network - and thus transmitted in Chicago via WMAQ Channel 5 - on February 12th 1966)

The complete episode was recorded but unfortunately it cannot be shared here due to YouTube restrictions, so this is the next best thing.

Includes:

(partial) Station ID / promo for "Citizen Kane" on the "Great American Picture Show" Movie at 8 (voiceover by Dale Dorman) (throughout, WLVI's Kaiser-era 56 logo is shown here)

About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:

The MCCTv (FuzzyMemoriesTV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s to early 80s, mostly) recorded off of TV (in Chicago or other cities now too); things which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. If you have any old 1970s videotapes recorded off of TV please email: [email protected] Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to digital, please e-mail [email protected] Thank you for your help!
