Pilgrims of Hope: Official Jubilee Hymn in Anime Video Format
The Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore, in collaboration with the Jubilee 2025 Coordination Team (CCBI), proudly presents Pilgrims of Hope, the official hymn of the Holy Year 2025. This hymn, now available in an inspiring anime video format, encapsulates the theme of journeying together in faith and hope toward the light of the Risen Lord.
Launch of the Tamil Version
The Tamil Version of the Jubilee 2025 Hymn was officially released by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, during the inauguration of the Archdiocesan Office for the Commission for Social Communications on 21 December 2024.
This date holds great significance in the Church's tradition:
21 December is traditionally commemorated as the Martyrdom Day of St. Thomas the Apostle, who was stabbed at St. Thomas Mount, present-day Chennai.
It is also the death anniversary of the Servant of God Thatipatri Gnanamma, a pioneer in Catholic education and women's empowerment in South India.
The Tamil version is a profound offering that resonates with local culture and history, aligning with the Jubilee theme of hope and unity.
Launch of the Kids' Version
The Kids' Version of the Jubilee 2025 Hymn was launched earlier on Friday, 13 December 2024, during the Ecclesia in Asia International Symposium. The launch was graced by His Excellency Most Rev. Paul Antony Mullassery, Bishop of Quilon, in the presence of bishops, priests, religious, and lay faithful participating in the symposium.
The panel discussion at the symposium featured distinguished panellists:
Mr. Sagar Gabetta
Ms. Mary Priyadarshini
Rev. Fr. Dr. Vincent Chinnadurai
Prof. Dr. Shilanand Hemraj
The discussion was moderated by Rev. Fr. Dr. Roy Lazar.
Guided by Visionary Leadership
The entire project was guided by Rev. Dr. Yesu Karunanidhi, the CCBI Coordinator for Jubilee 2025, and supported by the visionary leadership of Most Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, President of the Tamil Nadu Bishops’ Council, and Vice President of both the CCBI and CBCI.
