Tristan has found a home away from home in the theatre collective, and all he can talk about is his new best friend, Mr. Yates. But when Tristan presents his work Mr. Yates has some harsh criticisms. Tristan confronts Mr. Yates after class and finds out that he was only being harsh on him to avoid being accused of playing favourites. Could there be more than theatre between Tristan and Mr. Yates? After his stop at the police station a tardy Dallas arrives at the science fair. When an adjudicator asks Dallas what he is doing at Alli’s exhibit, Dallas feels racially profiled once again and completely loses his cool. Alli is livid. Dallas finds an unlikely source of support in Mr. Bhandari, who has also experienced prejudice in his life and provides words of wisdom. Clare’s plan to get Drew an internet date backfires when her own insecurities about her feelings for him get in the way. Drew catches on and confronts Clare about her plan.
