The Death Of K-pop

K-pop seems to have become a top music genre overnight. With top tier girl groups and boy groups like Blackpink, BTS, NewJeans, Ive, Twice, Aespa, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Exo, NCT, Ateez, TXT, Enhypen, and many more South Korean artists. They have super massive hits like Dynamite, lovesick girls, as if it’s your last, what is love, Permission to dance, Butter, Mic Drop, Money, and many more. Many of which has topped global music charts like the billboard 100 and 200 and Spotify and YouTube music and Apple Music. Top K-pop companies were behind this push and these companies include HYBE, SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, Cube Music, and Starship Entertainment. But in the last year, the popularity of K-pop seems to have declined. Watch this video to find out if and why K-pop is declining.
