Altaussee, Salinenmusikkapelle, Knappentanz - Austria HD Travel Channel

The Salinenmusikkapelle Altaussee is one of the 6 works' band of the salt mining in Austria. Every year in August, they perform a park concert followed by the dance of the miners. Approx. 140 performances annually serve to foster the miner tradition. The dance of the miners is dedicated to the veneration of St. Barbara, the patron saint of miners.

Die Salinenmusikkapelle Altaussee ist eine der 6 Werkskapellen des Salzbergbaus in Österreich. Jährlich findet im August ein Parkkonzert mit anschließendem Knappentanz in Altaussee statt.
Ca. 140 Auftritte jährlich dienen der Pflege der Bergmannstradition. Der Knappentanz dient wohl der Verehrung der Hl. Barbara, der Schutzheiligen der Bergleute.
