Per rectal administration of drug that is basti is one of the specialities of ayurveda. It is also one of the five bio cleansing procedures which are used to detox the body. Now basti has a very important role and it helps in curative preventive health promotive and also regenerative action in the body it's not just meant for cleansing the body but also a lot of it has wider therapeutic action in the body. In various disorders it acts actually like a water which is put at the roots and through the routes it is administered in the whole body.
