Sole Sound System

Описание к видео Sole Sound System

Sole commissioned legendary Jamaican sound system builder, Uncle Ronnie
of 8 Mile Sound, to craft the system of his dreams. Built on the Shores of
Kingston and shipped over 8000 mile’s, the Sole Sound System will debute at Sole DXB 2019.

The authentic soul of Jamaica’s music lies in the country’s infamous sound
systems. From the sound clashes between trucks loaded with homemade
speakers on the streets of Kingston in the 1940s, the dance hall gatherings of
the 1950s and 60s that stemmed so many of today’s music genres, to modern
day block parties and club nights playing everything from ska, reggae and
dancehall, the sound system been the backbone of Jamaica’s musical and
cultural journey.

The Sole team travelled to the Caribbean island earlier this year, home of the
sound system, and experienced first-hand how the rich sounds of Jamaica are
inherent through each touch point on the island. To pay homage to the true
sound of Jamaica, and continue its legacy to a new audience, Sole
commissioned one of the leading sound system builders in Jamaica and
connoisseurs of the art, Ronald ‘Uncle Ronnie’ Jarrett of 8 Mile Sound to build
‘the greatest sound system’ ever built.
