Описание к видео 1930 HITS ARCHIVE: Should I? - Arden-Ohman Orchestra (Scrappy Lambert, vocal)

Sparkling arrangement of a song first performed on-screen by Charles Kaley in the 1930 film musical “Lord Byron Of Broadway, “Should I?” was one of the many Arthur Freed-Nacio Herb Brown tunes that populated the tuneful score of MGM’s 1952 film classic “Singin’ In The Rain” and was also revived that year as a moderately successful record hit for The Four Aces.

Transferred and digitally processed from the original 78rpm: Victor 22255 - Should I? (Freed-Brown) by Victor Arden-Phil Ohman and Their Orchestra, vocal by Scrappy Lambert (as Burt Lorin), recorded in NYC July 29, 1929
