This is our last episode on our West Bengal Shaktipeeth Yatra. In this episode, after covering Tristrota Brahmari Devi Shaktipeeth, Bodaganj, Jalpaiguri, we decided to end our yatra at Siliguri known as Gateway of Northeast India.

Situated on the banks of the Mahananda in the foothills of the Himalayas, about 48 km from Jalpaiguri, the city of Siliguri is a major tier-2 city in West Bengal. The city is spread across the areas of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts of the Indian state of West Bengal. Known as the "Gateway to Northeast India", Siliguri is popular for 3 Ts: Tea, Timber, and tourism.
We started our journey with tea and then we reached a tea shop in the busy market of Siliguri and purchased Darjeeling Tea.

International Society for Krishna Consciousness, also known as ISKCON Mandir, is one of the major attractions of Siliguri.
With an aim to taste the local Siliguri food, we went to a street vendor and ordered Chana Ghugni for ourselves. While eating this spicy dish, we had a face-to-face conversation with a local citizen of Siliguri.
If you are in Siliguri and love street shopping, don't miss the Hong Kong Market! From cheap makeup, clothes and gadgets to goods imported from Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, and China, you can find it all at this bustling Hong Kong Market in Siliguri.
After shopping in Hong Kong market, walking through the narrow lanes of Siliguri, we finally reached Bidhan market where there was a popular eatery recommended by our subscribers. Serving customers for more than 70 years, this cafe was named Netaji Cabin.
