Seiko SPB453 VS Tudor Black Bay 41 Monochrome: The Ultimate Monochromatic Diver Face Off

Watches And Wonders 2024 provided us with some great surprises from Tudor, Rolex, Grand Seiko, Oris, and many more brands from the Richemont Group and beyond. The Black Bay 41 Monochrome (M7941A1A0NU) was the sleeper hit and it gained quite a bit of attention due to the clean black and white aesthetic. At roughly the same time Seiko released the newly updated version of the ever popular SPB143. The SPB453 was a smaller more refined version and it came in a monochromatic black and white color scheme alongside a blue version (SPB451).

There is a lot in common between the BB41 Monochrome and the SPB453 and at the same time they are quite different. This got me curious and I got the SPB453 to join my BB41 Monochrome to see what’s what and to determine once and for all which monochrome diver will reign supreme, because I love both of these watches immensely.

So in this video we’re going to compare these two watches, I’m going to score the dials, hands, indices, case, bracelets, and more so we can see which one comes out on top, and maybe you can go ahead and save yourself more than $3,000 by getting the Seiko.
