Furi | Part 1: The Chain | No Commentary

Furi is an indie boss rush game with fascinating lore, engrossing gameplay, and a banger soundtrack. It's incredibly underrated, and I love it a lot.

You awaken in a high-tech prison cell, suspended by your arms. It shocks you every couple of seconds, and you suffer the pain in taciturn silence.
The sound of footsteps echoes above the din of rain falling outside. You raise your head to meet the mask of your dearly beloathed torturer, The Chain.
When he's done hurling abuse at you, and turns to leave the cell, you slump in your restraints. You wonder whether he speaks the truth; that you will remain here forever, condemned to an eternity of slow deaths, over and over again.
But something changes. You awaken to the sight of a lone man in a rabbit mask. He's here to set you free. Your weapons clatter to the ground, and you fall to them, grasping the tools that you had been denied for so long.
"The Jailer is the key," says The Voice. "Kill him, and you'll be free."
You hear thunder. Pitter-patter.
