Shaw Custom Barrel Visit

Talk through of my tour of the Shaw Custom Barrel facility in Pittsburgh PA and some early assessments of their performance. Shaw is one of the oldest Gun Barrel manufactures in the United States with over 100 years of experience in this craft. They make custom rifle barrels for the individual as well as OEM production for various name brand rifle and pistol companies. Their process starts from bar stock barrel steel, and continues through; Cut to length, deep hole drilling, polish reaming, button rifling, stress relieving, threading, chambering, and fluting. They can provide any customer with anything from a rifled barrel blank for end user finishing to a complete finished product. Shaw offers cerekote painting, polished stainless, matte finishes and blueing.
