How to Align Text in Figma


#### *Step 1: Create or Select a Text Box*
*Add or Select Text:* Start by either creating a new text box or selecting an existing one in your Figma project. The text will be inside a bounding box that you can adjust by clicking and dragging the edges.

#### *Step 2: Adjust Text Alignment*
*Default Alignment:* By default, text is aligned to the left. As you resize the bounding box by dragging its edges, you'll notice the text wraps down to fit within the box.

#### *Step 3: Change Text Alignment*
*Access the Text Alignment Options:* With the text box selected, look to the right-hand panel under the *Text* section.
*Align Left:* The default setting, which aligns text to the left edge of the text box.
*Align Center:* Centers the text within the text box.
*Align Right:* Aligns the text to the right edge of the text box.

*Open Type Settings:* For additional options, click on the three dots next to the alignment icons to expand the **Type settings**.
*Select Justify:* In the alignment section, you'll find the *Justify* option. When you select this, Figma will automatically adjust the spacing between words and letters so that each line of text stretches to fill the width of the text box.
*Best for Narrower Text:* Justify alignment works best when the text box is relatively narrow compared to the text size, ensuring that the text looks evenly distributed across the box.

#### *Step 5: Fine-Tune with Line Spacing*
*Adjust Line Spacing:* If the text appears too compressed or too spaced out, you can adjust the *line height* in the same Text panel to make the text more readable.

By understanding and using these alignment options, you can create clean, organized text layouts in Figma that improve the overall design and readability of your projects.
