Rishi Bharadwaj is doing his Ph.D. in electrical engineering in the United States, but takes a profound interest in Pakistan's history and politics. He is at Lamar University, a public seat of higher learning in Beaumont, Texas. He comes from Satna, a city of about 300,000 people in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Satna is the 8th most populous city of the state. It is 500 km east of the state capital Bhopal. It has been selected as one of the hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission.

Rishi has been watching Pakistan since 2010, when he first watched a video clip of Mr. Zaid Hamid. He is a big admirer of Gandhi, Nehru, Patel and Ambedkar. He also admires Dr. Venkat Dhulipala for having written Creating a New Medina. He calls it a myth-busting book.
