The Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) would like to congratulate the following current and former Yale Hockey Academy (YHA) student-athletes on their advancement to the next step on their hockey journey.
Aidan Ansell: The Kelowna, BC forward joined Yale for the 2023/24 U17 Prep season finishing with 4 goals and 3 assists in 32 games.
Owen Barrow: Barrow joined Yale for the 2018/19 U16 Prep season tallying 25 points in 35 games. The following U18 Prep season the Kamloops, BC forward had 8 goals and 15 assists in 36 games. Barrow has spent the past two seasons in the SJHL with the Estevan Bruins accumulating 66 points in 109 games.
Salvatore Collora: The Woodinville, Washington forward scored 3 goals and added 7 assists in 24 U15 Prep games with Yale during the 2017/18 season. From 2019-22 he would play 19 WHL games with the Lethbridge Hurricanes recording 1 assist. Collora would split the 2022/23 season in the WHL with the Kamloops Blazers and the SJHL with the Estevan Bruins where he recorded 22 points in 45 games. Collora played six games for Estevan in 2023/24.
Khan Dhaliwal: A defenseman from Chilliwack, BC, Dhaliwal spent the last five seasons in the CSSHL with Yale. He would spend the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons in the U15 division tallying 5 points in 34 games. The following two U17 Prep campaigns Dhaliwal recorded 17 assists and 5 goals in 39 games. In 30 U18 Prep games in 2023/24 he would assist on 3 goals.
Michael Dowdall: Dowdall played four seasons in the CSSHL with Yale, joining the program in 2019/20 and finishing the season with 24 points in 29 U15 games. The Coquitlam, BC forward would record 2 points in 5 U15 Prep games the following season. In 2021/22 Dowdall had 7 goals and 25 assists in 29 U17 Prep games. He would finish his CSSHL career in 2022/23 with 17 points in 30 U18 Prep games.
EJ Emery: Selected in the first round, 30th overall by the New York Rangers at the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, the Surrey, BC defender tallied 14 goals and 20 assists in 33 games with Yale during the 2021/22 U17 Prep season. The Saskatoon Blades drafted Emery in the third round, 65th overall at the 2021 WHL Draft.
Ben Feenan: Feenan joined Yale for the 2018/19 U15 Prep season. In 29 games the Surrey, BC defenseman had 28 points. The following U18 Prep campaign he chipped in 3 goals and 15 assists in 34 games with Yale. Selected in the sixth round of the 2019 WHL Draft by the Tri-City Americans, Feenan played 73 games over 3 seasons, recording 9 assists.
Gavin Giesbrecht: Giesbrecht spent three years in the CSSHL with Yale. The Abbotsford, BC forward finished with 27 points in 30 U15 games during the 2018/19 season. The following U16 Prep season he would lead his team with 16 goals and 35 points in 36 games. During the 2020/21 U18 Prep season he would score twice and add one assist in five games.
Blake Heward: The Regina, SK defender spent the 2017/18 U16 Prep season with Yale, recording 13 points in 36 games. Selected in the seventh round, 153rd overall at the 2018 WHL Draft by the Swift Current Broncos, Heward would go on to play 103 WHL games with the Edmonton Oil Kings and Calgary Hitmen before finishing his junior career in the SJHL with the Estevan Bruins.
Jacksenn Hungle: Hungle played the 2019/20 U16 Prep season with Yale where the Victoria, BC forward finished with 10 goals and 17 assists in 34 games.
Jack MacFarlane: A forward from Vancouver, BC, MacFarlane joined Yale for the 2022/23 U17 Prep season. In 31 games he would score 6 times and assist on 7 more goals.
Noah Marshall: Marshall joined Yale for the 2020/21 U15 season, finishing with 1 goal in 4 games. The Chilliwack, BC defender finished the following U15 Prep season with 14 points in 29 games. During the 2022/23 U17 Prep campaign Marshall recorded 18 points in 34 games. This past season he would score 7 times and assist on 12 more goals in 30 U18 Prep games.
Hudson May: A forward from Richmond, BC, May had 6 goals and 3 assists in 27 U17 Prep games during the 2023/24 campaign.
Hunter McInnes: Selected in the ninth round, 186th overall by the Vancouver Giants at the 2020 WHL Draft the Nanaimo, BC forward had 6 goals and 10 assists in 24 U15 games during the 2018/19 season.
Alex Serraglio: Serraglio played three seasons of U18 Prep with Yale accumulating 6 goals and 24 assists in 73 games. The Langley, BC defenseman would go on to play 209 WHL games with the Tri-City Americans despite being undrafted to the league.
Dane Svingen-Jones: The Port Coquitlam, BC forward had 14 goals and 14 assists in 29 games during the 2021/22 season. The following U17 Prep campaign he would score 6 times and assist on 3 more goals in 30 games played.
