Mixing Loud with CTZ - Ep. 24 - Controlling (and using) width and depth

Описание к видео Mixing Loud with CTZ - Ep. 24 - Controlling (and using) width and depth

In this video, I explain some considerations about managing width and depth. Spreading sounds out in the stereo field and in the depth field can help make more sounds happening all at the same time be more distinctly audible AND with less volume required per sound, which means less potential clipping in really loud genres.

This is episode 24 in a series about how to mix for loudness, in large part by using a specific approach to gainstaging and dynamic range control that I call the "Clip-to-Zero (CTZ) strategy".

TIP: If you want a less expensive alternative to Space Control, there's several versions of a tool called "SideMinder" by Raising Jake Studios. These all sit in the $30-40 range. If you look close at SideMinder, you'll see the same basic features as everything I show you happening on the right side of the Space Control UI. https://www.raisingjakestudios.com/si...

TIP2: Also see Metall1ac's reply to the pinned comment. If you have Ozone 8 or later you might also be able to do most of what I show you with the Ozone Imager module.
