More than 20 years, Schaller has the world's first manufacturer who developed the locking mechanism and patented!
Function as a traditional machine. The string must not be more "wound up". Instead it is inserted into the clamp screw loosened the shaft hole, secured with the clamp screw and then can be voted away.
This represents a considerable simplification and facilitation of change strings.
Only this patented locking system based on the ball and socket principle reliably prevents the scoring and breaking the string.
The string is not wound onto the shaft. Thus it is extremely stable in pitch, perfect for non-locking tremolo.
The Schaller locking mechanism is in with all its benefits, the benchmark in the guitar industry!
Our clamping mechanism can be supplied on request with thicker top plates also happy with a shaft length of 21mm instead of 18.0 and 19.5 mm (staggered) from.

All parts are manufactured with high precision, surface finish and guaranteed by the self-locking drive an even, delicate and steady voice.
All string are made from high grade brass, they are extremely precise fit in the housing and ensuring the best possible tuning stability and wear resistance.
All mechanics sets can be ordered in addition to the standard combinations (eg, 6-in-line or 3/3) and in any number of left and right tuners.
