Sonny's composition, Baby Don't Go, first charted on the West Coast in late 1964 following Sonny & Cher's appearance on the Lloyd Thaxton Show. It was resurrected by Reprise in summer 1965 when the duo became hot with the release of "I Got You Babe," where it rose to the top 10 on the Billboard charts, reaching #8. Sonny & Cher performed it on the stage of CBS Studio 41 for Sonny & Cher Show episode that aired January 14, 1977 in the show's new time slot, Friday's at 9 PM.
