Hiking El Peñón de Guatapé Colombia (Must-Do Day Trips from Medellín, Colombia)

Guatapé is a colorful colonial town two hours from Medellín. You can get there by taking a bus from Terminal Norte, a taxi, or by taking a day tour in Medellín. One of the must-do things when arriving in Guatapé is hiking El Peñón de Gautapé or The Rock of Gauatpe.

We did this hike, and while it's not long, it is steep. However, you are greeted with unforgettable views of Guatape Lake and the surrounding area.
