This workshop will share lauhala weaving techniques and materials. As with many Hawaiian cultural arts, the art of lauhala weaving is best learned directly from kumu to haumana. Gathering and preparing material is a crucial piece in working with lauhala. Normally we would have haumana participate in gathering and prepping. Due to Covid-19, the instructor will incorporate gathering and prepping protocol in her presentation.
